Canandaigua March Events


March 1, 2014 - March 2, 2014

Experience Mardi Gras at its finest along the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail at the annual Mardi Gras event.  It’s all about the beads and this year everyone will receive a specialty prize to help with the festivities.  Check your Scavenger Hunt card number as you visit each winery.  The Scavenger Hunt will continue, figure out the clues or riddles to win a sampler case of fine wines from the trail.  At your starting point winery you will receive a wine glass, wine and food pairings and recipe cards at each winery, plus those incredible beads.


Bristol Mountain Spring Carnival

 Welcome to the transition to spring with the popular Spring Carnival weekend. Slush Cup, Easter Egg Hunt, music, activities for the kids and more. Free lift ticket and beginner lesson for kids 12 and under. (Lessons based on beginner terrain availability).


3rd Annual Tour de Bristol

3rd Annual Tour de Bristol, Nordic Race to the Summit is being held on Sunday, 3/16/14. This thrilling uphill 5K will test every ounce of stamina you have. Nordic, Telemark and shoeshow enthusiasts are welcome to embark on this ultimate challenge.

For almost 40 years the Canandaigua Kiwanis Club has held an annual fundraiser to support our community giving.  This year there will be the second annual Kiwanis Chef's Challenge and silent auction. The Kiwanis Chef's Challenge 2014 will showcase 30 area celebrity and professional chefs who will serve sample-sized appetizers, entrees, soups/salads and desserts for the enjoyment of 200-300 guests. Highlights of this fundraiser will be a variety of gourmet foods, more than 50 silent auction gift baskets and wine and beer tastings.  This year's event will be held Sunday, March 16th sold by Kiwanis members and on the day of the event for $20 per person and $35 per couple.
